Working with Breed Specific Yarns

May 15, 2021 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

$22 – $32

Event Navigation

Several skeins of wool yarn and swatches knitted from the yarn.

Curious about breed specific yarns? This class will cover broad categories of sheep breeds and their characteristics – from silky shine to next to skin softness. We will discuss where to find breed specific yarns and how to best use them, and participants will have a chance to swatch with 4-5 breed specific yarns from our Fibershed.

A $10 materials fee for 4-5 breed specific yarns is included in the cost for the workshop. If you would like to receive materials for this workshop, please register by May 5.
