The Harvest: Sewing Garments at Opportunity Threads

April 14, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Event Navigation

See how North Carolina cotton becomes American-made t-shirts and meet the people behind the process with The Harvest: Conversations for the Future of Cotton. The Harvest is sponsored by North Carolina sustainable apparel companies TS Designs and Solid State Clothing.

On April 14, we head to Opportunity Threads, the largest US-based, worker-owned cut and sew facility. We’ll meet with Molly Hemstreet, founder and general manager at Opportunity Threads, and learn about their commitment to ecological stewardship in textile production along with empowering, stable, and non-exploitative labor.

Don’t miss this rare chance to see inside the process of how your clothing gets made!
